Students Blogging
I think that using a blog is great for students to communicate there ideas instead of having a ton of classroom discussions. This can be useful to use as participation points instead of having those discussions because some students might be to shy to participate in them. I think that blogging is a useful tool when used properly.

I also think it's great to get students more comfortable with participating in discussions and blogging is definitely a motivating way to do so. I think it's also important to encourage all students to build the confidence and ability to communicate their ideas effectively in person. This is a skill, I believe, we are losing. So many students prefer text messaging to talking on the phone or chatting online. We must seek to balance our text chat with human connection.
